Hahaha fencing so fun!!!
Trying hard to outsmart the opponent and training your endurance at the same time ;P
Must make sure my arms and legs are stronger.... Aching after warm up, is not a good idea :(

Unexpected

I got into biology olympiad practical round! Haha, after throwing it totally out of my mind after the test to prepare for chemistry olympiad, I got in. Hmm and after the test, I found that I got some wrong and also there was no time for some calculation questions. Oh well, after a year of not doing biology practical, its two weeks of intensive training. Never imagine that I will get to know the college biology lab so well after deciding to drop biology at the end of last year.

Well if one wants to look at it from another angle, the bad thing about it is that my holidays are cut short again due to the need to take time to study... haha i guess nothing is free, using free very loosely. Nothing is as straightforward as what we choose to believe and theres always two sides to a coin. But ultimately they are still parts of the same coin and we need to accept both the head and the tails.

An Amazing Day

It started off with SBO theory round. Alright, one thing down, hopefully I din't mess it up too badly. Time to start preparing for SChO...
Then, its off to Bishan to watch movie, 《那些年,我們一起追的女孩》. But before the movie started, we went to the arcade, where Song Hao was pro at playing the claw machine and won two toys ;P. Yay the little black cat and it's mouse.
The movie was so sweet, its kinda sad but at least they ended up as friends in the end... Hope I have someone to love like him...
Fac Outing!!!
Haha, in the end it was not the actual fac outing that was fun, it was rather the sitting by the reservoir's side listening/singing songs, in my case badly... It was nice to just be in the company of people who are important to us, wish we can do this again soon, its so rare that we get a chance to all just sit with nothing much to worry about or to study for.
Hmm wonder when we can go ice-skating....

PW is finally over, phew...

I can't imagine the loneliness, and yet I can't wait for it to be over....

Prejudice

Using racism as an example,

Is to be colorblind to not comment about a person's skin color, or is it to treat the skin color to be just another characteristic of the aforementioned person?

So is saying that someone is <color>, a racist comment or not?

Also what is the difference between personalisation and prejudice? Say I'm customize a product for someone who is tall and have a different version for someone who is short, does that mean that I'm biased in the height category?

Time

The illusive creature.
Something which comes and goes, without a sound, without a breath. Something which people wishes more of, yet make good use of.

I'm finding that I'm not making good use of my time in school, randoming around, folding roses, looking at what others are doing, not doing PW, feeling tired. Resulting in doing PW at home, having to sleep late... This has resulted in my being unable to think clearly...

Hais, why is it that I'm most productive in the middle of the night....

Fencing

Yay!!!
So glad I didn't quit fencing!
Picking up the blade today was so fun, slashing at people is so fun...
Despite not having trained in a very long time, I managed to win one match, also I did not have any 5-0, resulting in me being able to qualify into the elimination round!
Hmm, its a pity that I can't go for training due to the various olympiads... Oh well...

Imagination and Belief

If there's two things that I've learnt from reading so much is that imagination and belief is the only two things that you need.

Just believe that it will turn out all right and it will, just believe that you can do it and you will be able to. When you believe in yourself, you will find others believing in you too. Never stop believing that you can

If believe enables, then imagination begins the process. When you can imagine your destination, you can begin to take the first step on the path to your destination. When you imagine, all your troubles fade away, when you imagine, you find that the world is a much more beautiful place. Lose the ability to imagine and you will find yourself drifting without a purpose, nothing better an automaton.

When you believe in your imaginations, you find that whatever you set out to do, you will be able to accomplish. Be it the highest mountain or the deepest canyon, you will be able to cross it.

Results...

They shouldn't affect our friendship but they do...
They shouldn't segregate people but they do...

A necessary evil? Or is a better way of grading required?
When you get excellent grades, you can't talk about them,
When you get good but not up to expectation grades, you can't complain to anyone
For both of the above, you can't say anything to your friends who have lower scores
When you get bad grades, you are sad,
When will you feel good about your grades?

What can I say...

Time passes, yet I feel as if I'm not making any improvements

I know something is not right, yet I feel so helpless and unable to respond... Hope the people whose life I touched will be better for it.

It has being a long time since I blogged, wonder if this one will last... Wonder if I'm mature enough...

Books seem like my only escape now, reading through the night... the bliss of it all. So many things and no one to complain to, my mind's going wild now...
